The Christmas wish tree is made up of the dreams and wishes of children in shelters and substitute homes, sent to Santa Clause. To make sure that these do not just remain dreams, pick a gift from the Christmas tree and make a donation to the best of your ability.

We support young mothers studying

Starting this spring, all young mothers will have the opportunity to apply to SEB Charity Fund for a study scholarship. With our new study scholarship programme, we would like to draw more attention to prevention.

We are expanding our operations to support young mothers as they embark on independent lives and make decisions about their futures. It is our conviction that if a young mother is supported during her studies, her ability to cope and care for herself and her child improves; furthermore, the acquisition of an education will open more doors for her on the job market.

Applications for scholarships may be submitted by all those young mothers who delivered their babies before turning 19 and who are under 26 at the time of applying for scholarships. To apply for a scholarship, a young mother needs to be studying full-time at a basic school, upper secondary school, vocational school or institution of higher education. Thus, with the benefit of a scholarship, a basic, secondary, vocational or higher education cut short can be completed.

The 2013 scholarship pool amounts to EUR 15 000, and a scholarship may be sought to cover tuition fees, purchases of study supplies, monthly living expenses and/or childcare costs.

Our scholarships are awarded twice a year, in February and in September, and the deadline for submitting an application for the spring semester is 14 February 2013.

Detailed information about the scholarship for a young mother is available from our homepage at http://www.heategevusfond.ee/noore-ema-oppestipendiumi-statuut
