Christmas wish tree

The Christmas wish tree is made up of the dreams and wishes of children in shelters and substitute homes, sent to Santa Clause. To make sure that these do not just remain dreams, pick a gift from the Christmas tree and make a donation to the best of your ability.

Introduction

SEB has been engaged in charity for years, paying special attention to the next generation. Until now, one of the most distressing social problems in our country is children without parental care. To help these children, SEB Eesti Ühispank and Ühispanga Elukindlustus founded in 2005 a non-profit association - SEB Eesti Ühispanga Heategevusfond. On 14 December 2006, the bank and the charity fund signed a co-operation memorandum, according to which the bank supports the fund with 1.3 million euros (EEK 20 million) in 15 years.

Twice a year the fund organises campaigns, inviting all people to donate money to support the children, deprived of parental care. By now, more than 7000 well-wishers are thinking about the children in need through SEB Heategevusfond. Already from the very first years of the fund, we have used the money raised with donations to help safe houses operating in different regions of Estonia. Among the others of the kind, the fund has the largest number of frequent private donators. Thanks to all our good supporters, we shall continue helping the kids, staying at substitute homes and safe houses. In 2011, we expanded our activities and initiated a support program for provide counselling to foster homes and started to grant scholarships.

With the help of regular supporters, the children, left without parental care, may get support and feel themselves equal to kids, living in a traditional family – throughout the year and not just during Christmas.
